The main difference between financial leasing and rent is that financial leasing refers to financing the purchase (the lessee becomes the owner of leased object by repayment of the last leasing installment), while rent is designed as the use of leasing object. When renting, a vehicle is given for use which is very similar to the popular rent-a-car service. The end of the rent period does not result in a change of ownership, but the vehicle is returned to the lessor, which best suits companies that change the fleet.
Lessee may prematurely repay the leased object.
